Privacy
Honesty only works if it’s protected
This page explains how the product is designed. It is not our legal privacy policy, which will be published before RKINDLE opens to users.
Four kinds of information
- Private to you
Things only you ever see
Your safety answers, your private reflections and anything you write to RKINDLE’s assistant. Your partner has no route to this information, and it is never used to build anything shared.
- Shared only if you choose
Things you can choose to share
Some answers can be shared with your partner if you decide to. Nothing in this group is shared by default — sharing always takes a deliberate action from you.
- Shared summary
Summaries you see together
Shared parts of the Relationship Map are built from limited summaries, not from your raw answers, and are designed so they cannot be worked backwards into what either of you said.
- Created together
Things you create together
Goals, agreements and activities you both take part in. These belong to the two of you and are visible to you both.
What that means in practice
Two accounts, always
You each sign up separately with your own login. Being linked as partners never gives either of you access to the other’s private information.
Private by default
Nothing moves from private to shared on its own. RKINDLE asks, and you decide.
You can unlink
If you unlink, access to shared relationship information ends immediately for both of you. You keep your own account and your own private information.
Nothing follows you into a new relationship
Information tied to one relationship stays with it. It is never carried into another.
Careful with the assistant
RKINDLE’s assistant is given the smallest amount of information needed for the task in front of it, and never the other partner’s private answers.
Nothing sensitive in notifications or analytics
Reminders will never put relationship details on your lock screen, and answers, private writing and assistant conversations are never sent to product analytics.
